The deal menu for the night posted outside catches my husband and I's attention and we decided to walked in. As we we wanted to have a fine sit down dinner, we situated ourselves to one of their pub high tables and chairs at the corner near the TV screen. It started to get crowded for a Saturday night and we waited a while before our order was placed and then served. The server was nice enough to give each one of us plate for one small appetizer we ordered. Surprising loved their crab dip. The deal of the night was full rack ribs for $15. The meat was tender, bbq sauce was tasty and it was pre-sliced. It comes with fries and coleslaw. I think the deal was undeniably a hit for the visiting guests of the town. My husband shared it with me and had an extra order of fries. How they cooked the meat matched perfectly with his beer. My daughter enjoyed her ahi tuna tacos. Perfect serving size for her and matched well with her beer. My son enjoyed his burger- grilled angus beef 5 alarm ( with his fave seasonings:cayenne, jalapenos, pepper jack, schiracha, texas white). The pub doesnt looked appealing outside but when you tasted their food, although menu consists mostly of pub foods , you'll say you were glad you tried, flavorful and tasty . They have free music at 10 pm if ever your time permits. The biggest surprise of all, on our check, as an apology for the time we waited and wasted, they made our appetizer and our beers in the house. We did not ask for it but they sure know how to make their guests happy.

Great food. Great atmosphere. And even the waiter, who was in training, was great! I had a salmon with a bbq glaze and garlic broccoli which was delicious. We had a couple of appetizers which were great also. And finally they had a root beer brand called Dominion and it was very good! Aside from the fact that this restaurant is in VERY stuffy and uppity Rehoboth Beach, I recommend it.

Awesome local bar. Local beer, very friendly staff....if you are in Rehoboth Beach make sure you stop on for a drink Shoutout to Natalie and Jared!

This bar & grill was only a block away from our hotel and the reviews didn't seem all that bad, so my family grabbed dinner here one night. We were seated immediately but no one approached us to take any food or drink orders for over 25 minutes, despite notifying employees twice that we were ready. Just as we were about to give up and leave, the bartender came over from behind the bar to serve us himself. Their craft beer selection and food were surprisingly good! The crab dip was soooo warm, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And my Ahi Tuna Tacos were also quite tasty - seared just the right amount and dressed with a zesty wasabi aioli. As an apology for the long wait, we received more than 30% off our final bill.

Frogg Pond is a bar my family and friends ALWAYS HIT UP!! It's such a fun environment and they always have a great happy hour. The staff is really friendly. This place gets packed at night! I love going here for happy hour and lunch, if you need to take a break from the beach or shopping Rehoboth Ave, definitely pop in here. On the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) they have a weekend BBQ special on 1 or 2 entrees (the Ribs and fries are so good!). If you go with a group of friends you can split a 128oz beer tower!!! Friday = fish and chips also amazing!! Love the fried pickles. During the evening around 10pm they have great entertainment! They feature both local bands and many other bands or singers like Vicky Dee who travel the region. The only negative I have is one of the DJs - the only one they use - is so grumpy and rude!), but I guess she's plays a good mix of Top 40s, 80s, 90s hits. Don't even think about requesting a song because she'll chew you out unless you give her like $20 (like my father-in-law did during NYE) Frogg Pond also has a different feel during the off season, which I love. Trivia nights are really fun. I would definitely recommend this to people who want a nice relax environment during the day/lunch or want an entertaining live music experience after dinner.

Found this place while out and about. In Rehoboth Beach for a conference. Glad we stumbled across it! Waiter was a local Cambria County guy and was very friendly. The food is very reasonably priced ($5 lunch special - how can you go wrong). Free Wi-Fi and a great selection of draught beer.

Friendly, not snobby staff: we ate at the bar. We had pulled pork nachos (eh, the pork wasn't super fresh, to be honest) and the crab dip (DELICIOUS!!). I would say it's a solid choice for apps and drinks or lunch.

Great place to kick back and relax after a long day at the beach. Their menu has your average assortment of bar food but it's packed full of flavor. Live music makes the atmosphere even better. Stop in for a sure bet

Music? If that's what it's supposed to be, is too loud. What a lousy bunch of musicians. Staff is overworked and disinterested. Went for $5 burger night. Waiter said the kitchen was running behind and that our order wouldn't be ready for an hour. It's only a burger! Glad he warned us, cuz we decided to leave. Won't be coming back.

Ok, I need to change my review somewhat. While I'm still not happy with the price increases, the food is still as good as ever. We went last night and they're back to a nice selection of craft beers. The crab cake special on Thursday night saves $10 off the regular price and they're really good! The burgers are still incredible even though the price jumped 50%. The onion ring appetizer is awesome, house made and battered just right. Fries are house cut with skins and nicely flavorful. Still cant use the loyalty card though if it's not in your possession.

Worst service I have ever had in any bar in Rehoboth! I would give zero stars if I could! They are rude and their drinks are watered down!

So we were here the last week of June in 2015. When we asked if they could make a certain drink, the server had no idea and came back with the answer no. We just ordered drinks from the menu. Unrelated there were so many flies in the restaurant it was kind of gross. When we went to order our food, our server had NO idea about the menu, in her defense it was new. We tried to order mozzerlla sticks, they were out. Guacamole, they were out. She had no idea how to work her iPad and tried to tell us we couldn't order single tacos....even though the menu clearly says we can. She figured it out after some exploring. We ordered 5 fish tacos, pork nachos, 6 hot garlic wings, and crab balls. The food came out stages, but was pretty good. Pork nachos were SO greasy, but good. We never got the crab balls. We asked and the server, again had no idea. When she came back she told us something about them being frozen and that it wasn't put in because we needed to specify how many, whatever we went without them. All and all, good food, but needs some work.

Our first time here was Saturday night because the band Sweet Leda was playing. This was actually our first time ever in Rehobeth too. After our not so great lunch experience at another place, we were pleasantly surprised with the service here! We were seated at the best table in the bar and got really lucky to have Natalie as our server. Natalie is personable and attentive. The only food we ordered were the wings with the Chesapeake Rub and they were large and juicy. We did drink all night though and our drinks never went empty. That is a very rare occasion when you aren't a regular at a bar. The vodka soda had too much ice and not much vodka so I switched to beer and a couple Angry Balls. There is a really good beer selection. The entire night was so much fun! It seemed that most of the people there were locals and we enjoyed the atmosphere, talking with the security guy (Jim? I think) and the door guy. Lots of characters and fun! The kitchen stays open until 1 am! We liked this place so much we came back for lunch on Sunday. I don't remember our server's name but he has a curly moustache and was very helpful and friendly. We ordered beer battered shrimp, the Eastern Shore Burger, and the Ahi tuna salad. Everything was really tasty and our service was great. We might go back again tonight as this is our new favorite place!

I have started to make a habit of going to trivia here and I love the place. Always a good time, and the service is always great. I usually end up having the same guy as a server, Kyle I think? He's super attentive and fun. However, he has too much integrity, he refuses to help us with trivia answers!

Last night my family and I had stopped into the restaraunt and had a few drinks! We quickly were escorted to a table by the host, and we greeted by the very friendly Natalie. She had an extensive knowledge of the drink menu, and was quick with suggestions for our beverages. And boy did she nail it, my mom had the orange crush and oh man!! All in all I would highly reccomend this place to anyone who is looking for a fun time. And, if you have the opportunity to sit/be served by Natalie, take it! She's extremely professional, fun, and just a pure joy to be around!

A group of us had a great experience at The Pond this weekend! Our server, Natalie truly made our experience even better! She was tentative, friendly and anticipatory of our needs. So good in fact, that we returned the next night as well! The entire staff made our time memorable as we celebrated our Bride to Be. We will absolutely be back! Also, try the infamous Hoo-Ha drink- it is delish!

The Frogg Pond is my favorite bar in Rehoboth, hands down. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich is the best I've even had--even, or should I say especially, in Philly. The wings are great--in fact I've had most things on the menu and have never had a bad meal. One day, a friend and I were doing some bar-stool philosophizing and wondered "what is it that makes a great bar?" Cheap drinks, a friendly staff, a horseshoe shaped bar, live music, and a good vibe. I've been going there for 25 years and never had a bad time.

How much food & fun can you have on a cold, windy mid-day off season in Rehoboth? Dare go where it seems the locals go for solid food, a variety of beers, and upbeat service, all at an economical price. Off-season, the mid-day atmosphere bordered on dive-y, but the recently-hired server put us at ease, discussing menu options off the $5 lunch sandwich menu. I decided a Turkey Reuben deserved a try, and while nicely done, of course a bit sloppy, I think the cheeseburger across the table, cooked to order, was the better choice. The cole slaw was interesting, the hand-cut fries a nicely-done indulgence, definitely the last part of the order before plating and arriving before us. Noticing there was no closed captioning for the TV broadcast nearest us, our server kindly asked if we were watching the soundlesss program, then offered to change it to sports, news, whatever our preference (A slow mid-day for table-seated patrons meant we could chose our own TV programming). Not a likely option at your favored chain burger house. Some decaf coffee to warm the traveler driving back to the DC area? Not a problem, if we didn't mind a brief way for a fresh pot. I'd have preferred to try one of the 12+ beers on tap, many of them rotating offerings, but there was that drive in stormy weather before us. Maybe another time. Tax appears to be built into the menu prices, so, sandwiches and beverages for two were $14.50. Plus a grateful tip to our Maryland-native server who'll hopefully stay and help the local owners make this place as friendly for visitors as for the locals in another section of the restaurant, seated at the bar.

This is a lesbian bar, and I'm not gay but I love it. The wings and pitchers of beer are great and it's just a very solid old school pub that's been around forever

The staff here is excellent! Natalie was very nice and friendly. We enjoyed the meal very much. I had a Patty Melt and ordered it medium. The burger was the most perfect medium I have ever had at a restaurant. Kudos to the cook (I had Natalie compliment them) it was the best Patty Melt I have had in a very long time. I cannot say enough about Natalie. She has been the best server I have had in a long time. I will definitely be back for more!

I'm naming this an Official Must Do Dive - but in an awesomely undivey way. We wandered by, just looking for a safe nosh and the very handsome and incredibly friendly greeter/bouncers went through the whole menu trying to puzzle out what was safe. They tried so hard, I couldn't say no. It was karaoke inside which normally makes me turn tail and run. But the singers had a sense of humor and a couple were good. In particular, an older Caucasian fellow laid down some classic James Brown that had people dancing. By dancing I mean man/woman, woman/woman, man/man. We ordered potato skins, bunless burgers and margaritas. The server was a peach. Trying to do food service in this bedlam had to be exhausting, but she was just a pleasure. I thought it'd be mediocre bar grub, but it was darn good and we both really liked it. It's a fun atmosphere without judgmental atmosphere. As we left, a young guy was singing fun.'s "Some Nights". Perfect!

Usually good music on the weekends. Food is pretty good and the staff is downright amazing. I have been going summer after summer when I get to the beach and it's fun. A bit drama filled with the ladies at times, but always meet nice people and enjoy the scene.

Can't beat the $5 lunch specials. I had a good burger with a really nice fresh roll..comes with fries, slaw or mac-n-cheese..the slaw was pretty good. The crab soup had just a little too much old bay for my liking but had plenty of crab meat. Great service and great price...can't beat it!

I had the most disturbing experience here, and though it was only the fault of one person not the whole bar, I had to come share my story. Me and three girlfriends stopped in on a Friday night for some drinks. The bar was pretty empty (I think ten customers in there tops) and we sat at a table for almost two hours, enjoying ourselves and the music. The bouncers at the door were nice and I thought it was funny that some of the younger employees joined a couple customers on the dance floor for a song. Cue to the bartender. We spent over $50 combined and would have spent more. After two of my friends ordered a drink, the guy came over and asked us, what do you girls do for a living? Thinking he's making friendly small talk, we tell him we are college students. His exact quote goes: "Well I'm a bartender here, and I work off tips and you guys haven't been giving me much, so you can leave now." he turns on his heel and walks away, us with our mouths wide open in shock. A) We did tip him the customary amount. B) Most importantly: it is NOT REQUIRED TO TIP and any indication by an employee otherwise is uncalled for and unprofessional. We were all so disgusted, I didn't even finish our final drink. I put my cider down and walked out. I am so appalled. It's not like this man went out of his way to make us feel welcome nor was he busy. In fact, we saw him taking shots earlier in the night with customers. I feel like he was more pissed that they weren't getting a lot of business, aka not as many tips as usual. Either way I will never return and I will have to tell anyone else not to go here. We have tried to contact the manager multiple times now and he hasn't been in the office, nor does he respond to the messages we left. I would like to give him a chance to redeem the bar, but I don't see that happening.

We stood there for 15 minutes and were never seated. Waiters walked right past us and just ignored us. It's not like they were packed- there were only 5 other people in the place. We ended up leaving.

Have ate here twice now with my boyfriend. Both times we have enjoyed the food, the bartender and the music. We didn't know it was a "gay bar" first time we went and actually didn't care. We love the food and both times staff has been great! Crab dip is to die for!!!!!!!

This was my 2nd visit, not including the time we turned around and walked back out. Lower Case Blues is really the only reason I would come here. We ordered drinks, and 2 different hotdogs because Nicole B and I were going to share. We ordered the Chicago dog and the Downtown. Waiter brought 2 downtown and it took so long we just ate them anyway. I told him, because I don't think it would be fair to write in a reivew without letting anyone know. He tried to tell us we were wrong and actually said "wanna bet?" um no, we just want what we ordered. He offered to give us the right one on the house so we accepted. He then gave us a hard time about not giving us a pen to sign our check with. Not a big fan of this place at all, or the waitstaff, but enjoy LCB!!

Went there with a few of my sapphic sisters last nite...crowded and everyone was having a great time...where do the younger lesbians go? not here...lotsa "Quacker Factory"clothes as well as madras shorts, mullet haircuts and lacoste shirts...a few mean looks from some of the women that all but said (say it with a gruffy voice) "what are YOU doing here?"...whatevuuuh. It was a blast just to people watch, esp on the dance floor. Bartenders were awesome and on the ball...hats off to both of them!

Had some really great times here this past week. Music at the happy hour on Tuesday and Wednesday were terrific and I had the black and blue burger which was superb. Ordered it medium and it was done to perfection. Loved the sweet potato fries that came with it. Also had wings. Easily the best wings I have ever had in Rehoboth Beach, not just the taste (I had the Chesapeake ones with Old Bay seasoning) but the size of the wings is what made them better than the rest. Also, had a variety of vodka martinis. Yes, I really like my vodka martinis. Had a chocolate, a rasberrie and an orange crush too. My bartender, Steve, was willing to create some special ones for me. The service was terrific and I loved the friendly local vibe, along with some really fun staff who were all having a good time too. Will be back again and again.

Stopped in for dinner and hit the Monday burger special,,,6 bucks for a burger and ff,,,add a draft beer on for 3 bucks more. Nice deal...if I paid 11 bucks like on the menu, I would have been disappointed as it was around a 6 oz burger...but as it was, it tasted great and was cooked medium like I ordered. Some nice craft beer on tap with a few rotating ones for the hard to find beers. Service was ok, not deserving of the overly effusive praise in some reviews here, but nothing bad...just like the 3 star review, it was a-ok.

    (3)
  • Colleen M.

This place would probably be a 3-star were it not for the outstanding Clam Chowder... and I mean OUTSTANDING. Outside of that, the service was fine, beers were good and I enjoyed the music on this particular day. I noticed also that that have $15 pitchers of firefly lemonade so I'll be back to take advantage of that. :)

Strongly recommend.

A great dive bar, but remember it is a dive bar. The taps are plentiful and the bar area is also used for storage. It's like going to your friend's messy apartment and enjoying a great party.

Do I have to give any stars? Went on Saturday...kitchen lost our ticket, appetizer (boneless chicken bites) came out 50 minutes later and were cold...three sandwiches shortly after; never did a manager come over, we got two apologies from the server who was in the weeds herself. Then found something floating in my draft beer and told her, she said it was probably something from the draft line and laughed it off & asked me if I wanted something else. I got a new drink. Bill comes, no discounts for crazy delay, cold food or floater in my beer, we were charged in full.... Overall horrible experience. We wanted to split the check so we asked for a certain amount on one card and remainder on another...both cards were authorized for full amount of bill and had to be corrected...she wanted to swipe my card a third time to get the correct amount which would put 3 seperate holds for those amounts on my card (which take a good 5 business days to process or fall off) so, needless to say, I frequent REHOBOTH and will never return nor suggest Frogg Pond to my friends.

  • Justin K.

My girlfriend and I were walking around the Rehoboth Beach area looking for a place to eat some lunch when we were drawn into The Frogg Pond by two things: The Frog on the awning and the dude sitting out front telling us that all Sandwiches were 5.00 for Lunch Hour. We were there. Its probably a good place to hang out at night drink a beer and watch the game, but its also a pretty damn good place to grab a reasonably priced lunch. After getting greeted by the friendly bartender after he tended to the 3 hungover dudes trying to remain conscious at the bar, we had confirmed for us that yes, all sandwiches, salads, burgers, ten wings, or the Pulled Pork Quesadilla Special were all 5.00 only for Lunch. Excellent. My girlfriend went with the Medium Heat Hot Wings which had a pretty decent amount of meat on them. The sauce was also pretty good, I had a few and the heat was good without burning my mouth. If you like a Hot Hot Wing you should probably get a Hotter sauce. I had the French Dip sandwich with a side of Mac N Cheese because I'm sick of fries. The Dip was juicy with a great melty cheese and just perfect with the au jus sauce all together. The Mac N Cheese was also a nice change of pace from the usual side. Service could have been maybe slightly quicker, but no harm done because the service was friendly (and also hungover like a few patrons hanging about.). Anyways all that food plus a bottle of Yuengling for 13 bucks was a fantabulous deal. So if your on vacation in Rehoboth or the surrounding beach area check out the Frogg Pond for at least lunch or a Beer!
